Junior Researcher (FAEI)
The Functional Areas Enablement Institute (FAEI) is a research organization dedicated to identifying better ways to manage operations across functional areas. Our unique approach to operations enablement involves separating the generic managerial activities across functional areas from the specific ones, unique to each department. The generic activities are documented in the FAEI's Functional Area Management Framework, while the specific activities to each department are documented in over 30 frameworks, such as FAEI's Marketing Function Framework, Sales Function Framework, Procurement Function Framework.
We package our insights in publications, training course content, audit methodologies, consulting toolkits and we engage with our community through online and offline events. We operate a variety of membership programs, which range from access to research insights, to benchmarking clubs.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Conduct literature reviews and secondary research to compile background information for senior researchers
- Assist in conceptualizing and executing primary research studies across qualitative and quantitative methodologies
- Gather and consolidate raw data from disparate sources including databanks, proprietary systems, online panel sources and open datasets
- Administer surveys, conduct interviews, moderate focus groups, collect fie
observations per established protocols - Develop basic summaries and tabulations of research data sets
- Use data visualization to create basic charts, graphs and dashboards of finding
- Document detailed notes while conducting qualitative research activities
- Aid senior researchers by providing analytical support on complex quantitative data interpretation
- Assist with compiling research reports by developing basic exhibits to visualize data insights
- Coordinate citation and bibliographic fact checking for senior researchers
- Coordinate manuscript submission processes and compliance documentation
- Shadow senior researchers during presentations to absorb techniques for compelling delivery
- Develop broad understanding of research methodologies employed across domains
- Pursue training opportunities and educational programs to advance core research
