LMSL, the Life Management Science Labs, is an organization aiming to empower people all over the world to transform their lives based on the research by The Institute for Life Management Science (ILMS), which identifies and structures all aspects of human life into a comprehensive architecture.
ILMS is dedicated to researching the application of management systems in personal life. A multi-disciplinary research team explores the structure and application of personal administration at individual, couple, and family levels. The result of the research project is a series of tools, templates, toolkits, publications, and training course content.
LMSL has been established to commercialize activities using the above-mentioned research insights. Your main responsibilities include:
- Team Operations and Leadership: Lead and inspire a growing media team, ensuring alignment with company goals—mentor team members to achieve high-performance outcomes. Manage multiple media projects simultaneously, focusing on timely delivery, budget adherence, and efficient resource allocation.
- Strategic Planning and Development: Develop and implement strategies to integrate documentary and magazine production into the existing media team. Continuously refine operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve media output quality.
- Process Improvement and Innovation: Identify operational inefficiencies and introduce new processes or systems to optimize team performance. Conduct regular workflow audits and recommend improvements to stay ahead of industry standards.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Utilize strong analytical skills to assess operational performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Analyze complex challenges and develop effective strategies to ensure successful project execution.
- Stakeholder Management and Communication: Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and vendors, to ensure alignment on objectives. Prepare and present reports on operational performance, addressing challenges, and proposing solutions.
- Crisis Management: Handle operational challenges and crises with a calm, strategic approach, ensuring that disruptions are minimized and team morale remains high. Develop contingency plans and lead the team in implementing these plans when necessary, ensuring the continued success of ongoing projects.
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and best practices within the media industry. Share these insights with the team and integrate relevant developments into the company’s operations, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Funding and Contractor Management: Lead the team in creating compelling pitches and proposals to secure funding and grants for documentary projects. Recruit and manage contractors and freelancers, ensuring that they meet the company’s standards for quality and professionalism in documentary production.
- Resource Allocation and Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets for all media projects, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively. Monitor expenditures and make adjustments as needed to stay within budget while maintaining the quality of deliverables.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all media projects comply with industry regulations and company standards. Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards across all media outputs, including podcasts, documentaries, and magazines.
- Innovation and Technology Adoption: Explore and implement new technologies and tools that can enhance media production and streamline operations. Stay ahead of industry trends by adopting cutting-edge solutions that improve the team’s productivity and the quality of their work.
We expect you to:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, media studies, communications, or a related field is required. An MBA, or master’s degree, is advantageous.
- 4-5 years of experience in media operations management, with a proven ability to manage projects and scale operations effectively.
- Strong understanding of media production processes and familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Trello, or Jira.
- Proficiency in using analytics tools for data-driven decision-making and process optimization
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including mentoring and professional development of team members.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement operational plans that enhance efficiency and performance.
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team.
- Strong alignment with the company’s vision and values, with a leadership style that complements the organizational culture.
