Lead Researcher - FAEI
The Functional Areas Enablement Institute (FAEI) is a research organization dedicated to identifying better ways to manage operations across functional areas. Our unique approach to operations enablement involves separating the generic managerial activities across functional areas from the specific ones, unique to each department. The generic activities are documented in the FAEI's Functional Area Management Framework, while the specific activities to each department are documented in over 30 frameworks, such as FAEI's Marketing Function Framework, Sales Function Framework, Procurement Function Framework.
We package our insights in publications, training course content, audit methodologies, consulting toolkits and we engage with our community through online and offline events. We operate a variety of membership programs, which range from access to research insights, to benchmarking clubs.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Scope, plan, and design rigorous qualitative and quantitative business research studies aligned to key insights needs
- Employ research methodologies including surveys, focus groups, interviews, ethnographies, and data analysis techniques
- Develop sampling strategies, select appropriate data sources, and determine proper sample sizes for valid analysis
- Create tools and instruments to capture relevant research data, insights and recommend improvements
- Monitor research progress regularly, address risks in a timely manner, and ensure activities adhere to budget
- Synthesize findings and discover key themes, trends and relationships within data sets
- Interpret results to formulate sound conclusions and translate into clear, impactful recommendations
- Author detailed research reports tailored to each domain and element while meeting quality guidelines
- Present research findings to leadership in a compelling manner that prompts decisions for enablement solution products such as software specs, tools and templates
- Guide senior, junior researchers, and analysts supporting on research initiatives, mentoring on methodology
- Foster an innovative mindset to employ new techniques that enhance research capabilities
- Act as project manager in developing labs framework
